Monday 13:30 to 13:55: Modernising and Securing PACS with Cloud and Managed Services - Lee Storey, Support and Managed Services Manager, AGFA Health Care
Cyber-attacks are now the norm in all sectors, and can be especially impactful in h the healthcare sector. Furthermore, burgeoning data volumes especially in this sector mean that data management and security are top priorities for Radiology Services and their PACS Teams.
The goal is no longer perfect security but resilience: reducing the time, cost, and impact of attacks when they happen, whilst still making legitimate access possible. This presentation will focus on taking a pro-active approach to both data volume growth and ensuring its security.
Monday 15:10 to 15:35: Improving Productivity and Ensuring Trust: AGFA’s evolving vision for the application of Artificial Intelligence in Radiology - Dr Nicholas Spencer, Radiologist & CCIO AGFA HealthCare
The adoption and utilisation of AI tools in radiology continues to move at an accelerating pace. Differential rates of adoption, regulatory evolution to ensure safety and excellence in AI, as well as end-user uncertainty are all affecting the health sector’s perception of Artificial Intelligence. This talk will offer insights from a radiologist using AI in NHS clinical practice, and who also works for AGFA HealthCare, a respected global PACS vendor.
Highlights will include how Enterprise Imaging and networked radiology can help radiologists and radiographers do their best work, alongside ensuring AI safety and improved productivity.
Tuesday 11:10 to 11:35: Clinical Collaboration for Imaging Networks; Advantages of Streaming Technology and Workflow Sharing - Dr Nicholas Spencer, Radiologist & CCIO AGFA HealthCare
Imaging Networks are seen as an essential means of managing capacity both for acquisition and reporting of radiology investigations in the UK. With Community Diagnostic Centres blurring traditional institutional boundaries, the need for seamless collaboration tools is now well recognised. As patient pathways evolve the need for an accessible enterprise imaging record is clear.
This presentation will highlight how AGFA HealthCare’s streaming client technology, messaging tools, and workflow orchestration can be transformational for radiology services. We will demonstrate how such solutions can help with the paradigm shift needed to meet the ambition for diagnostics-led service improvement in the NHS.
Tuesday 13:30 to 13:55: How Clinical Decision Support and AI Can Power Auto-vetting in Radiology - Stefan McDonald, CGO xWave Technologies
Radiology departments across the UK are facing a perfect storm of rising demand, staffing challenges, and growing pressure to improve turnaround times. Yet, clinicians and radiology teams still spend significant time manually triaging, vetting, and protocolling imaging referrals—an essential but often inefficient process.
This session will explore how xWave Technologies, in partnership with AGFA is using Clinical Decision Support (CDS) and AI to automate key elements of this workflow. We will also demonstrate how AI-powered CDS can be integrated into existing systems and workflows, using real-world case studies and a live demonstration of the xWave solution.
Tuesday 15:10 to 15:35: Precision Reporting in Enterprise Imaging: Building better reports more easily - Reva Barnard Fitzsimmons, Applications Manager, N Europe, AGFA HealthCare
Precision Reporting helps create structured imaging reports that get the message across loud and clear; saving time for sonographers, radiologists, and of course - clinicians and referrers.
Focusing on Obstetric Ultrasound, this presentation will highlight how the sue of Precision Reporting in AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging suite offers advantages to enable enhanced diagnostic decision making, faster easier report creation and show how templates for structured reporting can simplify communication with clinical teams, all with a focus on improving patient care.
Wednesday 11:20 to 11:55: AI & Hanging Protocol Considerations for Radiographers - Reva Barnard Fitzsimmons, Applications Manager, N Europe, AGFA HealthCare
Presentation of Images to the reporter is dependent upon a number of factors at acquisition, especially for multi-series studies such as CT and MRI. This talk will highlight the positive impact that radiographers can have on what the reporter or radiologist sees. In AGFA HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging suite, Series Labels as a tool for normalisation will be demonstrated, and delegates will learn how AI can be triggered within the workflow using series description, workflow rules and routing.
Join us for the industry led session: Digital solutions in radiology practice - case studies
